AVCC's Mission |
|
To build the effectiveness of conservation commissions and community
groups working to sustain their natural and cultural resources.
|
| |
| In order to accomplish
this mission, AVCC is in the process of undergoing an organizational
"renovation"; an effort designed to make AVCC, itself, more
effective. Toward this end, AVCC has created a new group
listserv to provide a forum for conservation commissions and other
interested groups to access resources and communicate directly with
each other anytime! Please join AVCC's group listserv by
registering at: |
|
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/avccvt
|
| |
| This listserv is AVCC's
new tool for facilitating information gathering and sharing.
The following are just some of the wonderful features the listserv
has to offer: |
-
read and post messages - if you have a specific
question, ask the group
-
download and upload files - if you are interested in
contacting an AVCC Board member or obtaining information
about conservation commissions, funds, or other conservation
related information, go to "Files" - if you have documents
such as an annual report or photos from a recent gathering
such as a fund raising event, share them with the group
-
add
links and populate the database - if you've recently
come across an interesting web site or have made a great
connection, give the contact information to the group
-
develop or take a survey - let us know what you think of
the new group listserv
-
contact members - find and connect with individual
members
-
post calendar events - tell the conservation community
about your upcoming events
|
|
As of
January 2, 2007, the group listserv referenced above replaced staff
e-mail and the information previously found on this web site.
We hope you will become part of AVCC's web community! |
